While speaking with a truck driver at work yesterday, I learned of a seemingly secret lunch spot in a very unexpected place. Judging by his description, it was right up my alley. Enter: Watt's Cookin'. This "eatery" is actually a small shack hidden behind Emsco Electrical Wholesale. If you didn't know it was there, you'd surely not be able to find it. As I walked up to the small window, I was greeted by a cheerful woman asking what I'd like. Being my first visit, I took a few seconds to scour the menu, quickly discovering prices made this hidden gem even more desirable. For only $2.00, I scored myself a "home-cooked" 1/3 pound cheeseburger.
Other foods on the menu include the usual, from hot dogs, to chili dogs, to brisket. If you work downtown, or just happen to be there during the week in need of a quick, cheap, delicious lunch, be sure to stop in and give it a try. Emsco is located on the NW corner of Sheridan and Western.

ENJOY!
